Welcome to the Dungeness (UK) Community Web Site created not only for the benefits and pleasures of the residents but also for the enthusiastic 'supporters' of this unique parcel of land. Also of interest, we hope, to the casual browser stumbling by in the early hours of a morning.

This site is absolutely nothing to do with the Dungeness Residents Association - although space will always be provided to reproduce any 'newsletters'.  It is completely independent and non-profit making - which is a great pity- any views expressed are that of the author.

This site will give you direct access via the various links to other sites closely and in some cases not so closely associated with Dungeness Estate. Via the 'Guest Book' button you may leave your comments, raise any questions and hopefully get embroiled in the livelihood of the community that is known as Dungeness (UK).

The New York Times once stated 'if Kent is the Garden of England, Dungeness is the back gate'.

Open it and come in!

Dungeness is also home to a unique variety of wildlife and more than 600 different types of plants – about one third of all plants found throughout the UK. Also Dungeness is one of the best places in Britain to find rare species of moths, butterflies, bees, beetles and spiders. Many of the insects not to be found anywhere else.
